On 30th January, ISS Hong Kong successfully held its 2018 customer event, got together CEOs and senior executives coming from different industries and professionals from facility management industries to share and exchange experience on the moving trend of future workplace management and how business could benefit from Internet of Things (“IoT”) application.

We started the event with the sharing of 20 years of evolution of IFS (Integrated Facility Services) true partnership by our Regional Account ISS Regional Account Director Trevor Steiner for our Embassy client. Trevor shared the evolution of single service into a 100% true IFS, fully managed and self-delivered by ISS over multiple major countries in the region, supporting their dynamic needs on both office and residential. We are also fortunate to have one of our key global client from the banking sector to share from a client perspective on how ISS self-delivery capabilities and our global best practice model could support the continuous enhancement of service standard into the next milestone. It is very clear that through open communication and a continuous crave for excellence could we build IFS as one of the client’s key business drivers.

ISS Global Marketing Officer Peter Ankerstjerne also joined us from Copenhagen to share on how Future Workplace could facilitate user experience, and how Facility Management is moving on to be a more critical direct driver for business success and talent attraction. ISS Hong Kong Chief Commercial Director Grace Liang also shared the latest development of ISS in IoT applications and how IoT could drive effective Facility Management on different industries that brings smart work management.

Calvin Chin, our Chief Executive Officer of ISS Hong Kong said: “With the accelerating pace of change of business environment, technology developments & process integration, outsourcing becomes more strategic.  This is an excellent event with our customers’ engagement where we can share thoughts, ideas and feedback on how we can leverage technology to facilitate our user experience and customer purpose.

The Internet of Things, sensor technology, robotics and intelligence based IFS model are allowing us to enhance cost-efficiency while at the same time develop personalize and enjoyable user journeys and workplace experiences. At ISS, we invest in technologies to support operations best practices, and through global deployment, we understand how we could tweak to make it work.
